The company has been awarded an EXIM bank fund project of "LPG Bottling Plant and Bitumen Storage facility" to be executed on EPC basis, at Beira, Mozambique.      The company has been awarded the prestigious project of "MHNRD Phase III Pipeline Project" of ONGCL in consortium with M/s Valentine Maritime Limited, Abu Dhabi to be executed on EPC basis at Mumbai High.     The company has appointed Mr. Mahabala Gopala Karkera as Chief Executive Officer w.e.f 01st October 2014.       

Overview

M/s. Supreme Offshore Constructions & Technical Services Limited, Mumbai (SOCTSL), is a renowned construction company qualified for execution of fabrication, hookup, revamping, topside modification, commissioning etc of offshore projects and activities like fabrication, erection, commissioning of refinery and onshore projects. SOCSTSL is a fully owned subsidiary of M/s. Arcadia Shipping Ltd. (ASL), leading Ship Owners/Operators in India having diversified business activities including offshore construction, marine transport, providing marine spreads for offshore constructions projects etc. with their branch offices/Agents located at all Major Indian ports and cities.

In November 1996, the major share holding of SOCTSL (70% of equity shares) and its management control was acquired by M/s. ASL. After ASL took over the management control of SOCTSL in 1996, ASL has injected substantial financial resources in SOCTSL for augmenting its facilities / infrastructure and some of additional facilities/resources added during the period are follows:

Various construction equipments, tools & tackles (local & imported) were procured.
A full-fledged well-equipped workshop to undertake pre-fabrication works acquired at Rabale, Navi Mumbai.
Customs Bonded facilities for warehousing and manufacturing was established for processing imported       materials.
A separate NDT Section duly approved by BARC for Radiography along with qualified personnel and facilities has        been established.

Subsequently, during April 2000, the balance 30% of share holding of SOCTSL was also acquired by group company of ASL and now SOCTSL is a fully owned subsidiary Company of ASL.

SOCTSL is one of the Company certified for ISO 9001-2008, ISO 14001 : 2004 and BS OHSAS 18001 : 2007. SOCTSL also having well equipped workshop total area of 6000 sq. mtrs. Company have its own custom bonded facilities

Presently, SOCTSL possess major construction equipments, tools & tackles required for undertaking revamp / modification jobs on platforms such as Nitrogen Generator, Hydraulic Torque Wrench, Cold Cutting machine, Air Tuggers, Welding Rectifiers, Welding Generators, Fire Water Pumps, Diesel / Electric Generators, Gas Detectors, Hydraulic Test Pumps, E&I tools, wire ropes, chain pulley blocks etc.

Since formation of SOCTSL, SOCTSL was able to secure various offshore projects from clients namely ONGC, MDL, HHI, L&T, ESSAR, HSL, VMGL etc. and executed these projects to the entire satisfaction of the clients. It would be pertinent to mention here that after ASL took over the management control of SOCTSL, SOCTSL has secured many subcontracts from main Contractors of ONGC and executed the same to the full satisfaction of ONGC, the main Contractors and certification agencies. Some of them are highlighted below:

Revamping, hook-up and related modifications on BPA / BLQ-1 platforms under Booster Compressor Platforms (BCP-A&B) Project, which was completed during 1999 – 2000 for Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., Korea/Mazagon Dock Limited. The job included structural, piping, architectural, equipment erection, electrical and instrumentation works. The piping work was 6623-inch dia in various metallurgies like Super Duplex Stainless steel, Duplex Stainless steel, NACE – Carbon Steel & Carbon Steel. The mechanical work included revamping / replacement / refurbishment of 37 Nos. vessels of Gas Dehydration Unit and related equipments. The electrical and instrumentation work involved laying of approx. 138 Km cable, new DCS system and hook up of control room. The shutdown activities were completed 10 days ahead of schedule.

During execution of this project, SOCTSL deployed workforce of approx. 450 persons at Offshore at peak time.

PPM Project - Topside modifications, hook up and installation on 18 existing platforms in Bombay High North/South and Neelam field for M/s. L&T was competed in the year 2000-2001. The job involved structural, piping, electrical and instrumentation works. The piping work was approx. 7000 inch dia in metallurgies like Carbon Steel, NACE – C.S., Cupro Nickel, Stainless Steel.

The shutdown activities were completed 7 days ahead of schedule

The hookup of Platform B55 and related modifications on SHG Platform was completed during 1998 – 1999 as subcontractor to MDL.

Modifications, revamping and hook up of HRA, HRG, WIH and HR Platforms in Heera field including revamping of test separator, and surge vessels was completed during 1997-1998 without shutdown.

ONGC had planned a shutdown of entire Heera complex for 15 days. However, the work was executed without any shutdown.
Installation of Clamp-on Structures on SN & SR Platforms and Boat Landing of NS & NT Platforms was completed during 1996-1997.



The various projects executed by SOCTSL involved welding of different metallurgies like Carbon Steel, NACE CS, Duplex Stainless Steel, Super Duplex Stainless Steel, Cupro-Nickel, Incoloy, Stainless Steel etc. Over the years, SOCTSL developed the welding procedures which were duly approved by ONGC/EIL/BV/DNV etc.

SOCTSL has well-experienced personnel with adequate exposure to offshore/onshore industry. SOCTSL have adequate resources, skilled manpower & key personnel required for executing larger magnitude of offshore/onshore projects.

Earlier SOCTSL was carrying out offshore works by supplying manpower / tools & tackles. Subsequently , the management structure was reorganized with a focus to take up offshore projects on EPC basis. The details of Turnkey Projects completed in the recent past are given below:

For ONGC’s MHNRD – 3 Pipeline Project M/s. Valentine Maritime Gulf Ltd. (VMGL), Abu Dhabi awarded the work related to Procurement, Fabrication, Transportation, Loadout and Seafastening of Riser Clamps and Anode Clamps for MNW, NI, NU and NV Platforms.
The work of approx. 90 M/T of clamps was completed in 6 weeks to meet urgent requirement of ONGC.
For ONGC’s MHN&H Pipeline Project, awarded to VMGL, SOCTSL was the nominated subcontractor for Topside Modification Works. SOCTSL’s scope of work included assistance for design / engineering / procurement, onshore fabrication, transportation, loadout, seafastening and offshore installation / hookup / precommissioning and commissioning assistance works related to Topside Modification s on 14 nos. platforms. In addition was also undertaken the work for fabrication and supply of Riser Clamps, Anode Clamps and I/J tubes with clamps for these 14 nos. platforms .
For ONGC’s D-1 Project, the work of Modification on Sagar Lakshmi EPS was awarded by EIL to consortium of SOCTSL & ASL. The work involved Fabrication Engineering, Procurement & Supply of Structural/ Piping/ Electrical items, Fabrication, Loadout and Seafastening, Transportation to Offshore, Dismantling / Installation / Hookup / Testing / Pre-Commissioning, providing Marine Spread.

The project involved removal and dismantling of Sea Water Lift Pumps, Chlorinator, Hot Oil Heater weighing 50 M.T.
Topside Modification Works on HB, HRG and BA Platforms related to ONGC B&S-NH4 Well Platform Project-2.

SOCTSL was awarded the work by NPCC, Abu Dhabi. The work involved Structural, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Works including Deck Extensions, Receivers / Connectors, Knock Out Drum, integration with existing DCS / PLC System etc. SOCTSL scope also included providing marine spread. The work was completed in April 2007.
Revamping of NC Platform related to ONGC NC Revamp Project

Consortium of Great Offshore Limited, Mumbai and Supreme Offshore Constructions & Services Ltd. was awarded the work by ONGC. The work involved Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Transportation, Removal / Installation, Hook-up, Testing, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning. The work was completed in May 2008.
Topside Modification Works on NQG Platform related to ONGC C Series Project SOCTSL was awarded by NPCC, Abu Dhabi. The work involved Construction Engineering, Procurement of Piping / Electrical items, Onshore Fabrication of Piping Spools,, assembly of equipment skids, load out and seafastening, transportation to offshore, dismantling, installation, hook-up, tie-in, pre-commissioning including provision of marine spread. The work was completed in April 2009.
For ONGC’s MHN Pipelines & Modifications Project, awarded to Consortium of VML + VMML; , SOCTSL was the nominated subcontractor for Topside Modification Works. SOCTSL’s scope of work includes procurement, onshore fabrication, transportation, loadout, seafastening and offshore installation / hookup / precommissioning and commissioning assistance works related to Topside Modifications on 11 Nos. platforms. In addition we shall be undertaking the work for procurement, fabrication and supply of Riser Clamps, Riser Protectors, PLEM & Monel Sheathings for these 11 nos. platforms was also undertaken.

The project involved fabrication and loadout of 6 Nos. Riser Protectors each weighting approx. 45 to 50 M/T and fabrication of PLEM / PLEM Piles weighting approx. 50 M/T . These structures were loaded out from the yard ith suitable water frontage by deploying heavy capacity crane (2 Nos. x 250 M/T each).
For ONGC’s B-Series and N-15 & N-16 Pipelines & Modifications Project, awarded to Consortium of VML + VMML; , SOCTSL was the nominated subcontractor for Topside Modification Works. SOCTSL’s scope of work includes procurement, onshore fabrication, transportation, loadout, seafastening and offshore installation / hookup / precommissioning and commissioning assistance works related to Topside Modifications on NV Platform. In addition we shall be undertaking the work for procurement, fabrication and supply of Riser Clamps, Riser Protectors, I Tube, I Tube Clamps and Monel Sheathing of Risers and I Tubes.

The project involved fabrication and load-out of Riser Protector from the yard with suitable water frontage.

For augmenting its fabrication capacity, SOCTSL acquired the adjacent land of approx. 1200 Sq. Mtr. at Rabale, Navi Mumbai and additional plot of approx. 4100 Sq. Mtrs. The combined workshop with area of 6000 sq. mtrs. with all necessary facilities is now available.

In pursuit of its expansion plans, SOCTSL also acquired land of approx. 4000 sq. mtrs. at Rabale, Navi Mumbai. .

SOCTSL thus have proven track record, adequate resources and enhanced capability to undertake any type of offshore related projects involvingprocurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, testing, hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning for modification and revamping of offshore platform on turnkey basis including the providing of the NDT services .
